Mystery Dinner & Costume Contest

Set in a Regency-inspired atmosphere reminiscent of Bridgerton and Pride & Prejudice—with a dash of murder—the evening will transport guests into a world of intriguing characters, hidden motives, and a mystery to solve.

The experience begins in the Underground at The Ripple Center with an elegant dinner prepared by Chef Peter Lowe and Block North. The menu features leek and potato soup, slow-roasted herb beef with rosemary, Yorkshire pudding, roasted baby potatoes, glazed carrots, and a rich red wine au jus. Dessert is a classic English banoffee pie layered with bananas, toffee, and whipped cream.

Throughout dinner, guests will meet Penelope Belmont and her circle, setting the stage for the evening’s unfolding mystery. Following dinner, the experience continues upstairs in the Opera House for a gathering hosted by Ms. Belmont and her companions.

A dramatic turn of events leads to a murder, and guests will help unravel the mystery before the night concludes. At the heart of the story is Penelope Belmont, who must decide whether to follow her heart or protect her fortune.

Guests are encouraged to join the Halloween fun by wearing costumes and entering the costume contest. Regency-inspired attire and masks are welcome, as are spooky, scary, and humorous ensembles. Prizes will be awarded in individual and couple/family divisions for best Regency-themed, scariest, funniest, and best “so bad it’s good” costumes.
